Job Title: Addictions Lead Therapist – Mental Health Hospital
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Location: Enfield
Qualifications: Accredited Therapist (BACP, UKCP, HCPC, BABCP, NCPS)

Overview:
Compass Associates is proud to be working with a leading healthcare provider in Enfield. Together we are seeking an experienced Addictions Lead Therapist to oversee and manage a comprehensive addiction treatment programme. The successful candidate will lead a small but dedicated team of therapists, focusing on the treatment of mostly alcohol, ketamine, and cocaine addictions. This role offers an opportunity to shape and develop treatment protocols while providing clinical leadership and ensuring the highest standards of care.
You will be responsible for managing both inpatient and daycare programmes, as well as outpatient referrals, ensuring the treatment programme aligns with current national guidelines. Additionally, you will play a key role in service development, driving innovation, and supporting the continuous improvement of addiction care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 4 permanent therapists, and collaborate with additional bank therapists.
- Manage inpatient and daycare addiction treatment programmes, primarily focused on alcohol, ketamine, and cocaine addiction.
- Develop, update, and innovate treatment protocols to ensure they align with best practices and national guidelines.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the addiction therapy team.
- Collaborate with senior management on service development initiatives and ongoing projects.
- Ensure high standards of therapy provision and client care.
What We’re Looking For:
- An accredited therapist with membership in an appropriate professional body (BACP, UKCP, HCPC, BABCP, NCPS, ACAT).
- Extensive experience in treating both substance and behavioural addictions.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team and drive service innovations.
- Strong clinical expertise in addiction management, with a focus on alcohol, ketamine, and cocaine treatment.
- A proactive approach to developing treatment programmes and improving service delivery.
