If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of the UK's most exciting providers of neurological care.
At Compass Associates, we are thrilled to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading neurological care providers. Together we are looking to headhunt a Charge Nurse for a specialist care centre located in Surrey. The service provides clinical residential care for 45 patients with neurological and respiratory conditions.
To succeed in this position, you must have the motivation and drive to enhance patient care while consistently demonstrating the organisation’s values in your work. You will collaborate with the Ward Manager to ensure the ward operates smoothly and safely, while also managing your own small team of staff, including nurses.
You will be required to work a total of 49 hours per week, with a flexible shift structure that allows for both longer and shorter days throughout the week. The role also includes a rotation of night and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Delivering high quality, evidence-based and patient focused clinical care through:
• Ensuring good standards of care for the Resident are maintained at all times.
• Adhering to NMC Code of Professional conduct at all times.
• Involving and supporting Residents, relatives, carers and friends in the care process.
• Observing a general duty of care for the health, safety and well-being of yourself, work colleagues, visitors and residents within the Home.
• Ensuring the rules, policies, procedures and standards of the Home together with all relevant statutory and professional obligations are adhered to at all times.
• Maintaining Resident confidentiality, dignity and privacy at all times.
• Adhering to the Home’s policy on valuing equality and diversity and showing due regard for each Resident’s cultural and religious beliefs, gender, ethnicity, age and sexuality.
• Strictly adhering to the Home’s Infection Control Protocols, policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
• Hold a valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN1)
• Previous experience in A&E, ITU, HDU, CCU, Respiratory, or Complex Care settings
• Experience in a leadership role, including overseeing shifts and managing junior staff members, is required.
• Tracheostomy or Ventilator experience
