Children’s Assistant Manager - Brand-New EBD Residential Service

£30,900 per annum

Overview         

Compass Associates are proud to be working alongside an established North West charity who specialise in providing high quality Children’s social care services, to help recruit an experienced Assistant Manager for their brand-new EBD Residential Service due to open Easter 2025.   

     

  

The Candidate  

As the Assistant Manager you will work alongside the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, including the leadership and management of the staffing team and continuous collaboration with the company’s quality team. You will be helping to lead and motivate the staffing team, ensuring the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and best practices within children’s care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to Ofsted rules and regulations, and they also require a candidate with strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.       

     

  

Salary and Benefits

A salary of £30’900 per annum with benefits including:

Essential Criteria

  • An essential for this role is a QCF level 4 Leadership & Management in care and QCF level 3 Health & Social Care (Children & young people).
  • Proven experience in children’s residential care, ideally in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong understanding of EBD and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Driver's license is essential.
  • Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
  • Ability to organise and manage the planning and implementation of new developments within time constraints.
  • Knowledge of the National Care Standards.

 

 

Location

The role is located in Cheetham Hill, North Manchester and is commutable from Manchester City Centre, Salford, Middleton, Ashton-under-Lyne, Prestwich, Worsley and Radcliffe.

 

 

Interview Process

The interview process involves an initial conversation with a member of the recruitment team, a Teams call with the Regional Manager and then a site visit.
