Overview

Compass Associates is pleased to partner with a specialist residential service providing high-quality, person-centred care for vulnerable Children. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate manager to take on a new challenge!

The Registered Manager role is pivotal to ensure that all children’s and staffing needs are met while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to high standards of care, and a passion for improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £45,000 - £58,000 depending on experience
• Holiday entitlement: 33 days (including Bank Holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the home’s setup and Ofsted registration, ensuring compliance and high standards from the outset
• Create a safe, nurturing environment shaped around each child’s individual needs
• Champion a child-centred approach, placing well-being and voice at the core of every decision
• Promote a culture of empathy and trust, building strong relationships with children, staff, and partners
• Develop the Statement of Purpose and embed a clear vision focused on growth and resilience
• Recruit, support, and inspire a skilled team to deliver consistent, high-quality care
• Work closely with families and professionals to provide coordinated, holistic support
• Maintain a strong safeguarding culture that prioritises safety, protection, and emotional security

Ideal Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager of a children’s home
• If you’re a deputy ready to step up you will have at least 4 years’  deputy experience working in childcare setting
• Experience in leading homes through Ofsted registration/inspections
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
• Full driving license and own vehicle
• Enhanced DBS check
