Children's Registered Manager – Ofsted

Salary between £50,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on experience)

Overview

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an established children’s provider within Residential care, who offer support to children and young adults aged 3 – 25 with learning disabilities and complex needs, to recruit for a Registered Manager to oversee their children’s Residential service based in Stockport.

 

 

The Candidate

As the Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the service, including the leadership and management of the staff team and continuous collaboration with the company’s quality team. You will be overseeing the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst working closely alongside the Senior Management Team, where together you will ensure the children receive the best care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to Ofsted rules and regulations. Moreover, they will also require strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.       

 

 

Salary and Benefits

The salary pays between £50,000 - £60’000, dependent on experience, and benefits include:

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager within a children’s service
  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in Children and Young People's Services.
  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
  • Turnaround experience – desirable
  • Knowledgeable regarding quality processes and Ofsted regulations
  • Clear DBS / CRB

 

 

Location

This position is based in Stockport, and is commutable from Manchester City Centre, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Disley, Wythenshawe, Sale and Denton.

 

 

Interview Process

The interview process involves an initial informal conversation with the Senior Talent Business Partner, a site visit to the services then a formal interview, including a presentation with two members of the senior management team.
