Position: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Overview
Compass Associates is recruiting a Registered Manager for a new children’s residential service in Swindon, supporting children with complex needs, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. The role involves leading the service from launch, overseeing Ofsted registration, and ensuring high-quality, child-centered care.
The Candidate
The Registered Manager will manage the daily operation of the home, including supervising a small staff team and maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing smaller children’s services, hold a Level 5 qualification in residential children’s care, and be ready to start immediately. Deputy Managers with strong leadership potential may also be considered.
Essential Criteria
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Children’s Services
Experience managing children’s services for those with complex needs
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards
Ability to deliver child-centered care and lead a team effectively
Proven leadership and staff development skills
Commitment to providing high-quality care and stability for the service
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Enhanced DBS clearance
Salary and Benefits
Circa £48,000 per year, dependent on experience. Additional benefits may include:
