Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent / 44 hours a week

We are excited to be partnering with a well-established and reputable care home provider with several services across the UK. They are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Deputy Manager to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis at their medium-sized nursing home in Aberdeen.

About the Home:

Inside the home, they offer a variety of comfortable communal areas where residents can relax and socialise. The hairdressing salon, cinema, and hobby room are regularly enjoyed by residents, while the en-suite bedrooms provide a private retreat. The inviting dining areas create the perfect setting for meals prepared by the catering team, who take pride in making mealtimes a sociable and engaging experience for everyone.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the leadership and management of the clinical and care teams.
  • Ensure residents receive the highest standard of clinical care in line with their care plans.
  • Oversee the administration of medication and other clinical tasks, ensuring compliance with care standards.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and best practice clinical guidelines.
  • Mentor and support the clinical and care team’s development, including conducting performance appraisals and training.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure the best clinical outcomes for residents.
  • Take charge of the overall clinical day-to-day operations and management of the home.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 1 year’s experience in a senior clinical position within an elderly care home setting.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active NMC Pin, with experience in elderly care settings.
  • Experience in a clinical leadership role, overseeing clinical and care teams.
  • A compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of elderly residents.
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills, with a passion for providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (8am - 8pm), including weekends and holidays.
