Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Adult Eating Disorder Service
Salary: £48,250 - £58,250 per annum (DOE & pro-rata)
Hours: Part-time (30 hours per week)

Overview:

Compass Associates is proud to be working with a leading provider of specialist mental health treatment in the UK. Together we are seeking an experienced or newly qualified Clinical Psychologist to join their Adult Eating Disorder inpatient and outpatient services based in a private mental health hospital near Barnes, London.

 

You will become part of a thriving, supportive therapy team, working alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists to deliver exceptional psychological care. Their hospital is renowned for its effective treatments in eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse, and includes dedicated services for both adults and adolescents.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team that values psychological leadership, integrated care planning, and a reflective, patient-centred approach. You'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of adults with eating disorders and related difficulties, through formulation-led interventions and collaborative treatment planning.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based psychological assessments, formulations, and therapy for individuals and groups.

  • Contribute to MDT meetings, care planning, and service user reviews.

  • Support the development of care pathways and treatment protocols for eating disorders.

  • Participate in service improvement and audit initiatives.

  • Provide specialist supervision, consultation, and reflective practice sessions for colleagues.

  • Ensure accurate, confidential record-keeping in line with clinical governance standards.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • HCPC Registration as a Clinical Practitioner Psychologist.

  • Experience or strong interest in working with eating disorders and/or adult mental health.

  • Excellent communication, formulation, and psychological intervention skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in group therapy delivery.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based models such as CBT-E, ACT, or DBT.

  • Previous work in inpatient or multidisciplinary clinical settings.

  • Supervision or leadership experience.
