CQC  Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care Service – Start Up

Barnsley

Salary: Up to £40,000 + Bonus (Depending on experience)

We are exclusively partnering with an upcoming homecare provider based in Barnsley, who are looking to recruit a Registered Care Manager to support in the management, development and growth of the new business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the domiciliary care service, ensuring that all aspects of care delivery meet CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive working environment.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
  • Ensure the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Monitor the quality of care through regular audits, reviews, and inspections.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with CQC, external agencies, and families, ensuring compliance with care standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the development of care plans and risk assessments for each service user.
  • Manage the budget and financial aspects of the service, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Respond to and manage complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring continuous improvement.

 

Requirements

  • Must hold a Registered Manager status with CQC, with a proven track record of managing domiciliary care services.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • A full, clean driving license (desirable).
  • Previous experience of setting up or managing a start-up care business is highly desirable.
  • Experience in domiciliary care services, particularly in a managerial capacity.
  • A thorough understanding of CQC inspection and audit processes.
