We are currently seeking an experienced Deputy Home Manager to support the management of a purpose-built care home in Port Talbot. The home provides exceptional person-centred care to older adults, including those living with dementia and complex nursing needs.
This is a pivotal role within the management team, responsible for ensuring that clinical and care standards consistently meet and exceed statutory, regulatory, and professional expectations. You will also deputise for the Home Manager in their absence and help lead, develop, and inspire the care team to deliver outstanding, compassionate support to residents.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN and demonstrable experience in a senior or deputy management role within a care home environment.
You will have a thorough understanding of National Care Standards and the NMC Code of Practice, with the ability to combine clinical expertise and leadership capability to maintain a high-quality, safe, and nurturing environment.
You will be an empathetic leader with strong communication and organisational skills, able to mentor colleagues and foster a positive, inclusive culture that places residents at the heart of everything you do.
Requirements – Essential
Current NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Nurse within a care home

Stage Two: Interview with the Home Manager and/or Regional Manager
Location:
The home is located in Port Talbot, within the Neath Port Talbot County Borough. It is easily commutable from surrounding areas including Swansea, Neath, Bridgend, Llanelli, Porthcawl, and Maesteg, all within a 10–40 minute drive. This makes the role ideally suited to candidates living locally or those looking to commute from nearby South Wales locations.
