Summary:
Compass Associates is pleased to be collaborating with one the country’s Prominent Children’s care providers who are inviting applications from dedicated Deputy Managers to join their award-winning team, where they will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to Children and young people in residential environments.
The Activity and Intervention Services deliver a structured twelve-week programme designed for young individuals in need of alternative accommodation, aimed at interrupting the cycle of challenging circumstances they may be experiencing. During their stay, participants engage in a variety of adventurous and therapeutic activities intended to rebuild self-confidence, foster trust, and nurture positive relationships with highly trained and experienced professionals.
The service operates on a short-term, 2-to-1 placement model, with staff typically working 4–5 shifts. Using outdoor and adventure-based experiences inspired by the Outward Bound approach, Activity Services engage young people through a wide range of physical pursuits. These include mountain biking, cliff jumping, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hill walking, rock climbing, and bouldering.
Activity teams are deployed across multiple sites, including various locations within the surrounding region and the national parks, providing consistent support and guidance.
The service supports children and young people aged 8 to 18 who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges within a residential care environment. Through compassionate guidance and structured activities, the programme equips young individuals with the essential skills needed to navigate their difficulties and pursue happy, healthy, and successful futures.
