Deputy Manager | Elderly Nursing Home
Salary: £54,000 per annum
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Hours: 40 hours per week (supernumerary)
Qualification: RGN or RMN (strong general nursing skills required)
The Opportunity
Compass Associates are working with a valued client who are offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead to join a high-quality nursing home in the Plymouth area. The home provides nursing, residential and dementia care, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager with clinical leadership, staff development, and the delivery of outstanding care. This role would suit a confident nurse leader with strong clinical skills and a genuine passion for elderly care.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
Provide strong clinical leadership across the nursing team
Ensure high standards of care, compliance, and clinical governance
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Act as a role model for best practice in elderly and dementia care
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead
Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC pin
Previous experience working in a nursing home environment
Strong background in elderly and dementia nursing
Genuine passion for delivering high-quality elderly care
Interview Process
This is a two-stage interview process:
Initial interview with the Home Manager
Formal interview with the Home Manager and Operations Manager
Location
The home is based in Plymouth and is easily commutable from: Efford, Southway, Ivybridge, Wembury, Cadover Bridge, Yelverton, Princetown, Bere Alston, Milehouse, and Yealmpton.
