Salary: £15.00 – £16.50 per hour (DOE)
Location: Theydon Bois, Essex
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday (9am–5pm)
On-Call: Yes (discussed at interview)
About the Role
We are supporting a large residential care home with the recruitment of an experienced Deputy Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a current Deputy Manager seeking a stable, weekday-focused role where they can make a real impact. The home benefits from strong leadership and a supportive management team, offering the chance to contribute to the ongoing development and success of the service.
You will work closely with the Home Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the home and helping to maintain high standards of care, compliance, and team performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
Ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance are maintained
Leading, mentoring, and supporting staff across the service
Overseeing care planning, audits, and quality assurance processes
Supporting staff supervision, performance management, and development
Acting as part of the on-call rota as required
What We’re Looking For
Current Deputy Manager experience is essential
Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
Experience supporting teams within a residential care setting
Confident, organised, and proactive leadership style
Ability to work collaboratively with the Home Manager to drive improvement
Location
The role is based in Theydon Bois, with good transport links and commutable from Epping, Loughton, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Harlow, and surrounding Essex areas.
