Overview

Compass Associates is pleased to partner with a specialist provider of high-quality residential care for vulnerable children and young people in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate deputy to take on a new challenge!

The Deputy Manager role is pivotal to ensure that all Children and staffing needs are met while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to high standards of care, and a passion for improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience, + a range of performance-related bonuses
• Holiday Entitlement: 28 days gradually to 32 days after 4 years of service + additional 3.5 days of leave (birthday, health & wellbeing day, festive celebrations)

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Registered Care Manager in ensuring compliance with the company Policy and Procedures and meeting all OFSTED regulations.
• Deputising/Acting up for the Registered Manager in their absence
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of the young people
• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools and other professionals involved with the welfare of the young people.
• Being responsible for a team of staff and work allocation
• Being responsible for effective day to day running of the residential home in the absence of the home manager

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3+ years of direct experience in residential childcare settings.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
