Overview    
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a respected and established mental health provider in search for a Director of Nursing.    
     
As the Director of Nursing you have Ward Manager's as well as Lead's reporting directly to you, with yourself reporting into the Hospital Director.    
     
You will be responsible for the clinical services operation, overlooking the nursing and therapy set up for the hospital. Ensuring exceptional delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators.  
   
Additional responsibility will include managing the delivery of the clinical services business plan, ensuring effective and efficient management and control of staffing and clinical care.
The Director of Nursing will need to be able to provide exceptional leadership as well as being knowledgeable with compliance and governance.  
   
Criteria
  • Registered with NMC, HCPC or Social Work England
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Experience with Eating Disorders, Addictions or Mental Health or acute services highly desirable
  • Innovative approach is essential to success
  • Passionate about providing high quality care and continuous improvement
  • A detailed understanding of CQC statutory regulations is essential
  • Strong Experience working at a supervisory or managerial level within a mental health environment; minimum 2 years working as a Ward Manager or equivalent.
  • A role model, providing exemplary support and advice to promote good practice    
  • Exceptional communicator, team player, empathetic and patient centred approach essential
  • Clear DBS / CRB
 
Interview
2 Stages starting with 1st stage small Presentation most likely via MS Teams. Followed by 2nd stage interview, details to be revealed prior to interview.
 
Package  
Salary is up to £70,000 plus benefits including;  
   
Pension, life assurance, sick pay, subsidised meals, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, CPD and more.  
   
Annual leave is 25 days plus bank holidays.
