Registered Manager – Extra Care Service

Location: Chatham, Kent
Salary: £39,125 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

 

We are seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a well-established Extra Care service in Chatham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded provider, leading a team dedicated to delivering exceptional care and compliance across multiple schemes.

 

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of a service supporting around 85 residents (capacity for 90) with diverse needs including dementia, learning disabilities, mental health, and general personal care.

  • Lead a team of approximately 60 care staff and Team Leaders across the schemes, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.

  • Ensure the service remains fully compliant with CQC standards and internal quality frameworks.

  • Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of staff.

  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, social services, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Maintain high standards of care planning, risk assessment, and auditing.

  • Participate in the 1-in-4 on-call rota to support operational continuity.

This role has a key focus on quality and compliance, maintaining the excellent standards already established within the service.

 

About You

We’re looking for an organised and motivated leader who is passionate about quality care. You should have:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager within Extra Care or Domiciliary Care.

  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and experience of achieving good inspection outcomes.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop and motivate teams.

  • A proactive approach to maintaining compliance and improving service quality.

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards).
