Regional Support Manager | Residential Care Homes

Location: Kent (Dover – Maidstone region)
Salary: £60,000 per annum + standard package

 

Remit

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a growing, family-run care provider to recruit a Regional Manager to oversee a small portfolio of residential homes across Kent. This is a newly created position, designed to support and strengthen leadership across three care homes located between Dover and Maidstone. The role will act as a “manager of managers,” working closely with Home Managers to drive performance, ensure compliance, and maintain high standards of care across the group.

 

This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring regular presence across all sites (circa 40 - 45 minutes between the furthest homes). You will play a key role in supporting managers with day-to-day challenges, improving consistency, and embedding strong operational practices. You will be supported by a well-established leadership team within a business that prides itself on internal progression, strong support networks, and a collaborative culture.

 

The Candidate

Our client is seeking a proactive and engaging leader with experience across multiple services, either in a regional capacity or as a strong Home Manager ready to step up. You will be confident managing managers, supporting teams, and balancing priorities across several homes. A strong understanding of CQC frameworks, staff management, and operational oversight is essential.

 

The ideal candidate will be visible, energetic, and hands-on - not someone looking for a purely office-based role. You will enjoy being out in services, supporting teams, and driving improvements where needed. A background in residential care is preferred, given the nature of the services, although nursing experience will be considered where appropriate.

 

Requirements – Essential

  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
  • Proven ability to lead and support management teams
  • Experience managing staffing, performance, and operational challenges
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services
  • Proactive, hands-on leadership style

Requirements – Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Regional / Peripatetic Manager role
  • Experience supporting services rated Requires Improvement
  • Exposure to both residential and learning disability services
