Overview
Our client is an Independent established (15 years) private , not-for-profit health club seeking a Head of Membership to manage the team of 5. You will have good Sales & Management experience ideally in a similar environment and be responsible for increasing membership growth
Role and Responsibilities:â¯
- To grow membership through the attraction & retention of members
- Ensure team of 5 are motivated and trained to achieve min standards in terms of leads, appointments and sales with use of the sales dashboardâ¯
- To support promotions and marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing manager
- To support with all aspects of the member journey including member onboarding, customer satisfaction, queries and complaints, cancellations and retentionâ¯
Membersâ¯
- Ensure Member onboardingâ¯is processed correctly and within parameters
- Co-ordinate with the marketing department for promotional activityâ¯â¯
- Handling complaints, member issues for your department and following up in a timely mannerâ¯
- Liaise with marketing on the promotions and events Calander for lead generationâ¯
- Initiate member referral activity and incentivesâ¯
- Work in conjunction with marketing and IT for all aspects of the member journeyâ¯
Peopleâ¯
- Conduct interviews for your department and follow recruitment procedureâ¯
- Set team targets and monitorâ¯â¯
- Team meetings including daily huddles, weekly team meetingsâ¯
- People / Performance Management for your teamâ¯
- Training and Development of your teamâ¯
- Effective communicationâ¯
- Manage staff incentives / commission targetsâ¯â¯
Operationsâ¯
- Ensure all membership contracts and sign-up procedures are administered correctlyâ¯
- Administer all sales reporting on a daily, weekly monthly basisâ¯
- Manage monthly Direct Run and Debt recoveryâ¯
- Coordinate with service manager regarding DM shiftsâ¯
- Deliver end of month reports to CEO & GMâ¯
- Manage department rostering cost effectivelyâ¯
- Attend monthly SLT Meetingsâ¯
- Manage H&S for your department in conjunction with the H&S Manager
- Duty Manager shiftsâ¯
Financeâ¯
- Attend monthly P&L Meetingsâ¯
- Banking reconciliation, monthly Direct debit run and Debt recoveryâ¯
- Forecasting, pricing & setting of annual budgets for the department in conjunction with the CEO & Finance.â¯â¯
- Assume ownership of departmental budgets with full accountability for P&L expectations.â¯â¯
