Salary: £46,000 - £52,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days)

Overview:

Compass Associates is seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join a leading mental health hospital in Potters Bar. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team that provides specialist care for adults and adolescents facing acute mental health challenges. Our client operates a comprehensive mental health hospital with both adult acute wards and CAMHS low secure wards, ensuring high-quality patient care in a safe and structured environment.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Senior Occupational Therapist in this mental health hospital, you will play a key role in managing and leading the Occupational Therapy Service across both CAMHS and adult services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Using evidence-based, patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the mental health hospital setting.
• Overseeing the implementation of individual treatment plans, ensuring collaboration among the Occupational Therapy team.
• Acting as an internal care coordinator for families, particularly for complex CAMHS cases within the mental health hospital.
• Providing individual and group interventions that focus on developing life skills and rehabilitation opportunities.
• Responding to referrals promptly and prioritising patient needs to deliver timely and appropriate interventions.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally within a mental health hospital.
• Proven experience in inpatient mental health settings, with both CAMHS and adult service exposure.
• Strong adaptability and an ability to tailor interventions to meet the needs of service users with complex backgrounds.
