Lead Orthopaedic Theatre Practitioner – Day Surgery

£46,000 - £52,000 plus Annual Bonus, Private Medical Insurance, Pension and More

Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with a leading state-of-the-art Specialist Day Surgery Hospital, located in the heart of Central London, who are currently in search for an Orthopaedic Theatre Lead to join their team. This multi-speciality Hospital covers a range of day surgeries including Orthopaedics, General, ENT, Breast, Gynaecology and Cardiac.

                                   

The Candidate

As an Orthopaedic Theatre Lead, you will help manage the team of Scrub Nurses and Senior Scrub Nurses across their three laminar flow theatres to provide the highest level of care, specialising within Orthopaedic Surgeries. You will have a number of responsibilities including:

  • Working closely with the Theatre Manager in order to improve, grow and continue to develop the service
  • Act as a clinical expert within the Hospital
  • Lead by example
  • Providing clinical leadership to staff and support a culture of growth and development
  • Prepare operating theatres
  • Scrub for a range of Orthopaedic day surgery procedures

This is a full-time position with a highly desirable shift pattern, which will be worked four shifts per week, between Monday to Friday.

 

Requirements                                     

- RGN or ODP Qualification                                              

- NMC or HCPC Registration  

- Right to work in the UK                                            

- Extensive experience as a Theatre Practitioner – specialising within Orthopaedics       

- Excellent communication skills                                              

- Great attention to detail                                       

- Motivated and enthusiastic   

- Strong leadership skills                                 

                         

Salary and Package

There is a generous salary of up to £52,000 depending on experience. My client is also offering competitive benefits including an Annual Bonus, Private Medical Insurance, Pension, Personal Development Plan, and the opportunity to attend Industry Events.
