Overview

 

Compass Associates is pleased to partner with national, not-for-profit organisation, in their search for a dedicated Local Service Manager to join their Homelessness Service in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to take on a new challenge!

 

The Local Service Manager role is pivotal to ensure that all service users and staffing needs are met while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to high standards of care, and a passion for improving the lives of adults struggling with homelessness.

 

 

Salary & Benefits

 

  • Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leading the overall delivery of the service, through the management of the team and liaison with the Area Service Manager
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with partners, key stakeholders and external agencies
  • Overseeing the overall delivery of the service, and tenancy management
  • Service Manager is working closely with our internal and external partners to achieve KPI’s
  • Overseeing the service’s financial performance and managing the budget
  • Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff
  • Service Manager is flexible around working hours in accordance with the needs of the service
  • Responsibility for health and safety in the service

 

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

  • Proven experience of working in a managerial role within a similar service
  • Experience managing accommodation based services
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Service Manager has excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Compassionate, caring, and hard working with a hands-on approach to support
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
  • Full UK driving license
