Occupational Therapist - OCD/BDD - Private Mental Health Hospital

Location: Central London (on-site)

Salary: £41,000 - £44,000

Type: Part-Time (4 days per week)

Compass Associates is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a leading private mental health hospital in Central London. With over 30 years of dedicated service in mental health care, this hospital is renowned for its specialised, evidence-based treatments and commitment to patient well-being.

 

As an Occupational Therapist in the OCD/BDD Unit, you will be part of a small, dynamic team delivering high-quality care in an inpatient setting. This is an ideal opportunity for a professional passionate about providing therapeutic interventions within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide tailored interventions for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Engage in group therapy and one-on-one sessions to support therapeutic progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training, staying up-to-date with best practices and treatment methodologies.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients, families, and carers.
  • Use specialist assessment tools and outcome measurement tools to monitor and adapt treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Contribute to MDT meetings and patient care discussions, providing valuable insights on patient progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist, with 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Must have experience working in an inpatient mental health setting.
  • Experience within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) is preferred.
  • Training in additional therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
