Job Title: Paediatric Clinical Lead – Complex Care at Home
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum + Mileage (45p per mile)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: London (Hybrid, Remote & Field-based)

Overview:
Compass Associates are delighted to be recruiting for a Paediatric Clinical Lead to join a highly regarded provider of complex care services within the community. This provider is dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to children with complex needs, including those requiring support with tracheostomies, ventilation, gastrostomy feeding, and other complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and ongoing training. Ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans, conduct regular client visits to assess care quality and ensure client satisfaction. You will be the primary contact for clients and families, offering expert clinical advice and emotional support.
- Mobilise and manage complex care packages, provide clinical support to the care team, and respond to emergencies in complex care situations.
- Oversee the training and competency assessments for all care staff, including sign-off of clinical competencies. Ensure the care team is up-to-date with best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Work closely with community teams, ICBs, CHC nurses, and CQC to maintain tailored, effective care packages and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Complete and review risk assessments and ensure all clinical documentation is maintained to a high standard.
Candidate Requirements:
- Registered Paediatric Nurse (RCN/RSCN) with a valid NMC registration.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in paediatric intensive care settings, including experience with tracheostomy care, ventilators, gastrostomy feeding, and seizure management.
- Competency in clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and managing complex care situations. Experience in writing care plans and risk assessments.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (required for travel across London).
- Compassionate, flexible, and dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
Region & Working Hours:
This role is field-based in London, including areas such as Chelsea, Walthamstow, Bromley, Harrow, and Stratford. You will need to be in the office at least two days per week, with the remainder of the time spent out in the community supporting your caseload.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, with occasional out-of-hours work depending on patient needs. Flexibility is offered in return for any out-of-hours work.
