Salary: £62,215 - £72,293 per annum (Pro-rata)

Overview:

Compass Associates is partnering with a leading provider in neurological rehabilitation, and we are currently seeking a Principal Psychologist to join their dynamic team in Llanelli. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead and shape neurological rehabilitation practices, providing high-level psychological support to individuals with ABI. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development of personalised care plans and treatment approaches in a neurological rehabilitation setting.

As a Principal Psychologist, you will play a key role in shaping innovative neurological rehabilitation strategies, overseeing patient progress, and supporting staff within the service. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the provision and development of high-quality, evidence-based neurological rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI).
• Conduct specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments, formulating tailored neurological rehabilitation plans.
• Provide expert psychological advice to the multidisciplinary team, particularly for complex cases, and supervise the implementation of intervention plans in a neurological rehabilitation setting.
• Drive the development of person-centred, SMART goals for service users, ensuring these are measurable and achievable within the context of neurological rehabilitation.
• Oversee psychological risk assessments and contribute to the development of appropriate risk management strategies in neurological rehabilitation.
• Provide clinical leadership, support, and supervision to other psychologists and professionals within the neurological rehabilitation service.
• Work closely with the management team to ensure high-quality service delivery, in line with regulatory standards and best practices in neurological rehabilitation.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist.
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), with a strong foundation in neuropsychology.
• Postgraduate training in neuropsychology (e.g., PGDip).
• Proven experience in neurological rehabilitation, particularly in acquired brain injury.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in supervising and guiding multidisciplinary teams in neurological rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, their families, and colleagues.
