JOB TITLE: Quality & Governance Director – Health

HOURS: Full-time, flexible

LOCATION: Remote with travel across England and Wales

SALARY: From £90,000 (depending on experience)

The organisation delivers high-quality, person-centred support across a range of areas, including ADHD assessment and treatment, autism services, speech and language therapy, and adult social care for individuals with complex needs. ROLE:
We are seeking a Quality & Governance Director to lead, develop, and oversee all quality, safety, and governance activities across the adult health services. Reporting to the Group Quality Director, you will:

  • Develop and implement Governance Policy, Quality Strategy, Quality Plan, and supporting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CQC, HIW) and internal policies.
  • Oversee incident reporting, audits, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics, patient feedback, and national benchmarking data.
  • Lead and support teams, providing guidance on quality and governance initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement, learning, and operational excellence across services.
  • Manage serious complaints and safeguarding matters, ensuring lessons are learned.
  • Travel as required to support and oversee health services across the UK.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Third-level qualification in a relevant healthcare discipline (RGN/RMN, Allied Health Professional) or equivalent senior quality experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ senior management experience in a regulated, multi-site healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience with operational governance, inspections, audits, and quality improvement programmes, preferably including CQC compliance.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Driving license and ability to travel throughout the UK.
