Regional PBS Specialist Practitioner – Adult Social Care 
Learning Disabilities / Mental Health – Supported Living 

£36,000 + £3,000 Car Allowance
Full-time, Permanent

Home based with regional travel (South Scotland)

 

Compass Associates are delighted to partner exclusively with a leading social care charity that supports young and working-age adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. This home-based role is pivotal to the organisation, focusing on delivering Positive Behaviour Support across South Scotland.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide teams and individuals in Positive Behavioural Support through coaching, mentoring, and bespoke training.
  • Reinforce, develop, implement, and evaluate Behaviour Support Plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Undertake functional assessments and integrate evidence-based interventions to address specific needs.
  • Liaise with clinical specialists, managers, staff, and families to ensure high standards and provide guidance.
  • Keep up-to-date with research, conferences, and forums; identify and deliver additional PBS training where needed.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce restrictive interventions and support multi-disciplinary teamwork for effective practice.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Level 5 qualification relevant to PBS, with willingness to work towards Level 6/7.
  • Extensive experience working with people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
  • Driver’s License
