Job Title: Registered Care Manager – Domiciliary Care
Location: Rochester, Kent (ME2)
Salary: Up to £41,500 per annum + 10% performance-based bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities
About the Role:
Compass Associates are working with a private home care provider who operate a remit of Rochester and are now looking for a new Registered Domiciliary Manager to oversee the day to day operations for their service.
We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Care Manager to lead a well-established domiciliary care service delivering over 1,700 hours of care per week across Rochester and surrounding areas. This service supports both private and local authority clients and is backed by one of the UK’s largest care groups. You will have full autonomy to manage the service, supported by an experienced Regional Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support, and motivate a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the community.
Maintain full CQC compliance and ensure all statutory regulations and best practices are met.
Implement and oversee action plans to address previous inspection outcomes and drive service improvements.
Manage day-to-day operations, including care delivery, client satisfaction, staffing, and rota planning.
Use care management systems (e.g. Access Care, People Planner) for effective scheduling and compliance monitoring.
Work collaboratively with Local Authorities, healthcare professionals, and private clients to build strong relationships and grow the service.
Conduct regular audits, supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to ensure continuous quality assurance.
Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of care staff in line with safer recruitment standards.
Manage budgets and performance targets to achieve financial and operational KPIs.
Act as a safeguarding lead and ensure timely and appropriate responses to incidents or concerns.
What We’re Looking For:
Experienced Manager in domiciliary care or extra care settings.
Proven ability to lead and develop care teams while driving performance and accountability.
In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations with a track record of achieving Good or better inspection outcomes.
Strong operational and organisational skills with experience using electronic care planning systems.
Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Business development mindset – experience increasing care hours and building relationships with commissioners and private clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
Driver with access to a vehicle is preferred due to the nature of the role.
