Home Manager – Nursing & Residential

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £75,000k

 

Compass Associates are working with a respected not-for-profit care provider to recruit an experienced and commercially astute Home Manager for a modern, purpose-built care home offering residential, nursing and dementia care.

 

This large service has a strong CQC rating, extensive landscaped grounds, and premium facilities including a cinema, café, and dedicated wellbeing spaces. The home also benefits from excellent transport links and strong local community engagement.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader to take full operational and strategic responsibility for a well-supported care home with a reputation for high-quality, person-centred care.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team to deliver outstanding care and customer experience.
  • Take full accountability for compliance, occupancy, staffing, financial performance and resource management.
  • Ensure the home maintains full regulatory compliance and continues to achieve strong CQC outcomes.
  • Develop and sustain trusted relationships with residents, families, commissioners, and community partners.
  • Drive commercial success through effective cost control, quality assurance and occupancy growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Champion dignity, safety, and resident-led care in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Represent the home and wider organisation with integrity, credibility and professionalism.

 

Who You Are

  • An experienced Home Manager with a proven track record in elderly care, nursing, residential or dementia services.
  • Qualified or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Confident managing clinical governance, budgeting, HR and regulatory standards at scale.
  • A strong people leader who can balance compassionate care delivery with commercial and operational awareness.
  • Skilled at building team culture, driving occupancy and maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • Nurse-qualified (RGN/RMN) preferred but not essential.
  • Motivated by making a genuine difference to residents, teams and the wider community.
