Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 pa

The Role
As Home Manager, you will:
Provide visible, hands-on leadership, working alongside staff to deliver exceptional care
Ensure CQC compliance, quality assurance, and strong governance
Drive occupancy, recruitment, and staff retention
Oversee the marketing budget, local events, and community engagement
Work closely with the Business Development Manager while maintaining autonomy to shape activities and events.
Build strong relationships with staff, residents, and families, championing a culture of trust, compassion, and consistency
About You
We’re seeking an inspirational and stabilising leader with the skills to turn challenges into opportunities.
Proven experience as a Home Manager in elderly care
In-depth knowledge of CQC requirements, with a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding ratings
Demonstrable success in private care homes, recruitment, and staff retention
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage occupancy, budgets, and performance
A visible, hands-on leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and reassure teams
Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN) desirable but not essential, attitude, involvement, and leadership presence are the priorities
Passionate about improving quality, stabilising teams, and delivering excellent outcomes for residents
