Overview:
Compass Associates is proud to partner with a high quality residential care provider seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well established, 12 bed residential home in Hastings. The service supports adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory and communication impairments, epilepsy, and early-onset dementia.

The Candidate:
The Registered Manager holds full accountability for leadership, quality, and compliance within the home. The role involves overseeing a 24-hour staffed service, including waking nights, while maintaining a calm, structured, and supportive environment for residents with complex needs.
This opportunity suits an established Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up, with a strong understanding of learning disability services and CQC requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
Lead day-to-day service delivery across the home. Develop a stable, motivated staff team and promote a positive workplace culture.
Quality of Care
Ensure residents receive consistent, person-centred support aligned with individual health action plans, life skills development, and meaningful activity.
Regulatory Compliance
Maintain full compliance with CQC standards. Lead inspections, audits, and service improvements.
Staff Development
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff. Maintain strong performance management and support professional growth.
Operational and Financial Oversight
Manage budgets, occupancy, resources, and service sustainability while maintaining care quality.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience managing or deputising within residential services for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with clear, confident communication.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, with commitment toward Level 4 or 5 progression.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and risk management.
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, dementia, and complex health conditions.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience managing larger residential services.
- Exposure to services supporting older adults and dementia care.
- Strong audit and quality improvement experience.
