We are working with a newly established domiciliary care provider launching operations in Greater Manchester. This is a rare opportunity for a Registered Manager (or an experienced Care Manager working towards registration) to join at the very beginning of the journey and play a pivotal role in building a high-quality, people-first service.

The business has secured premises, funding is in progress, and the service is fully prepared to launch. The successful candidate will work closely with the owner to open the service, build the client base, and establish strong operational and compliance foundations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register with CQC (or work towards registration) and lead the service operationally
  • Build and maintain strong compliance, governance, and quality frameworks
  • Support business growth through networking, assessments, and client onboarding
  • Lead, recruit, and develop care staff in line with person-centred values
  • Conduct care assessments, particularly during the initial growth phase
  • Manage on-call responsibilities, particularly in the early stages of the service
  • Work closely with the business owner to shape strategy, culture, and long-term growth

The Ideal Candidate

  • Registered Manager experience in domiciliary care or
    an experienced Care Manager / Deputy Manager ready to step up
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and domiciliary care standards
  • Comfortable working in a start-up environment where flexibility is essential
  • Confident communicator with the ability to support business development
  • Ambitious, open-minded, and keen to grow with the business
  • Attitude and ambition are considered just as important as experience.

Working Hours & On-Call

  • Core hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Flexible working available (including some home working)
  • During the first 6–10 months, on-call will be primarily covered by this role
  • On-call payments: £50 per day (Saturday & Sunday)
  • As the service grows, on-call will be shared and reduced

Salary & Benefits

  • £37,000 - £40,000 basic salary
  • Up to £42,000 for exceptional candidates
  • Performance related bonus of up to £4,000 linked to growth milestones
  • Laptop and mobile phone provided
  • Mileage paid
  • Company car planned in year two (subject to service growth)
  • Strong long-term progression into Operations / Senior Management roles
