Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care Service

Salary: £35,000

 

Are you an experienced domiciliary care professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a well-established Domiciliary Care branch in Cannock, overseeing service quality, supporting community engagement, and driving the continued growth of private care hours across Staffordshire.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable branch with strong infrastructure already in place, including an experienced Assistant Manager and Care Coordinator.

 

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage a domiciliary care service delivering both private and local authority care packages.

  • Build strong community links and increase private hours through excellent service standards and reputation.

  • Maintain high-quality care delivery through effective auditing, compliance monitoring and CQC readiness.

  • Support and develop the existing office team, including the Assistant Manager and Care Coordinator.

  • Manage staff performance, rotas, recruitment and supervisions as required.

  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive service development and expansion.

  • Participate in on-call duties, typically 1 in 3 weekends (lower on-call rate than other branches).

  • Oversee the use of the Birdie care management system within the branch.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated Registered Manager or a strong Deputy/Assistant Manager ready to step up. You should have:

  • Proven domiciliary care experience – essential for this role.

  • Experience delivering both private and local authority care packages (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of CQC compliance, audits and quality governance.

  • A clinical background (advantageous but not essential).

  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.

  • Experience in service development or business improvement.

  • Passion for delivering high-quality community care and growing a service sustainably.

Candidates from residential or extra care environments will be considered, but a domiciliary care pace and skillset is strongly preferred.
