Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire (Must reside within 30 mins)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Bonus (up to £5,000)
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 | Monday to Friday
An ambitious domiciliary care provider is seeking a founding Registered Manager for a new start-up site in Kidlington. This is a rare opportunity for a proactive leader to build a service from the ground up, implementing high standards from day one within a private business model.
The Opportunity
As this is a start-up phase, the incoming Registered Manager will be the architect of the branch’s success. You will have the unique opportunity to recruit your own team—including a Coordinator and Field Care Supervisor and establish a "Good" or "Outstanding" CQC foundation from the very first inspection.
Key Focus Areas:
-
Launch & Growth: Driving the initial branch opening and rapidly increasing care hours.
-
Team Building: Leading the recruitment, onboarding, and culture-setting of a brand-new care workforce.
-
Compliance: Establishing robust systems to ensure the site is "inspection-ready" from the outset.
-
Business Development: Identifying and securing new private care packages in the Kidlington area.
Mandatory Requirements (Must-Haves)
-
Proximity: Must currently reside within a 30-minute commute of Kidlington (not relocating).
-
Operational: Must be a car driver with access to your own vehicle, willing to deliver care to get the service off the ground, and lead the on-call rota.
-
History: A consistent, stable employment history with satisfactory reasons for leaving previous roles.
-
Right to Work: Permanent Right to Work in the UK is essential (No sponsorship available).
-
Resilience: Must understand the "stresses and strains" of a start-up environment and the commitment required to achieve a work-life balance in a new site.
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
Previous Registered Manager experience with a proven track record of growing a developing or new branch.
-
A "sales-active" mindset with a high win-conversion rate for new enquiries.
-
Expert knowledge of the Oxfordshire private care market and local competitors.
-
Experience in managing all processes around demand for new packages and staff capacity.
