Registered Manager – Residential Care (Adults with Learning Disabilities & Autism)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and growing care provider in the North West, known for delivering exceptional, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to take the lead at a modern residential home in St Helens, supporting 4 young adults aged 18–65. The service opened in 2023 and is already running smoothly, with a strong and stable staff team in place. This is a brilliant chance for someone looking to step into a well-established, high-quality service—just ahead of its first CQC inspection.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the service
  • Lead, inspire, and support a team of 25+ staff
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding standards, and company policies
  • Manage rotas, recruitment, staff training, and care planning
  • Promote person-centred care and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Liaise effectively with external professionals, families, and stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in adult residential care
  • Strong understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding, and supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (Level 5 Diploma preferred or willingness to work towards)
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
    A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and empowering staff
