This position is ideal for nurses undertaking locum work who want a consistent, guaranteed income alongside flexible scheduling.
Our established independent group is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our large team at our Alresford branch. The role can be easily combined with locum work, and there is also the option to pick up additional weekday shifts should you wish to increase your hours.
The Alresford site is a modern, purpose-built practice with a team of 16 vets, 9 RVNs, 2 SVNs, a senior VCA, and dedicated non-clinical staff. The team includes a visiting orthopaedic surgeon, and nurses currently hold certifications in dentistry, medicine, and anaesthesia. With excellent facilities and equipment, the practice is designed to support patient comfort and deliver the highest standards of care.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, values-led team with a very low staff turnover. There is zero tolerance for cliques, negativity, or unprofessional behaviour, ensuring a welcoming and supportive working environment. Protected breaks are built into the rota so you can perform at your best throughout your shift.
The Role:
You will be working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, supporting a varied caseload with exposure to consults, wards, and theatre. The team is happy to accommodate individual interests and preferences wherever possible. You will have full support to gain experience with Schedule 3 procedures and to continue developing your clinical skillset.
There is no OOH, and the rota can be tailored to suit your availability, making this role ideal for those seeking a stable, permanent income alongside locum work.
