Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Small Animal Practice
Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary: Up to £34,000 DOE
Flexible full or part-time | 1 in 4 weekends | No OOH

Are you an enthusiastic RVN looking to be part of a genuinely supportive and progressive team?

A respected, independent-minded small animal training practice in Epsom is expanding and currently looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated and friendly team.

Why This Role?

This is a standout opportunity to work in a modern, purpose-built practice with an experienced leadership team that values personal development, clinical excellence, and genuine client relationships.

The practice is:

  • Ideally located, just a short walk from Epsom town centre and train station
  • Well-equipped with digital X-ray, Doppler ultrasound, a developing orthopaedic kit, and separate cat and dog wards
  • Supported by visiting orthopaedic and cardiology specialists, allowing for more complex cases to be handled in-house

You'll join a close-knit and experienced team of:

  • 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, 2 Receptionists, and a supportive Practice Manager

The Culture

Led by a practice owner with nearly two decades of veterinary experience, the ethos is all about community, client trust, and delivering care as if every pet were their own. This team has a strong record of internal development — the current Head Nurse is stepping into a Practice Manager role, and the Deputy will be promoted, opening up this new opportunity.

What They’re Looking For

Whether you’re a newly qualified RVN looking for mentorship or an experienced nurse seeking the next step, this practice will support you with:

  • A collaborative, nurturing environment
  • Exposure to advanced procedures
  • Opportunities to get involved in business and leadership development if desired

To thrive here, you’ll need:

  • A commitment to high standards of clinical care
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach
  • An interest in the broader workings of the practice and motivation of others

Role Details

  • Full or part-time hours (up to 40 hours/week)
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • No out-of-hours
  • Flexibility around shift patterns to support work/life balance

Benefits Package

  • Salary up to £34,000, depending on experience
  • No OOH or on-call
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
  • Dedicated CPD allowance
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Exclusive discounts across related retail and services
