Summary:

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected provider of specialist mental health and addiction services, as they launch a brand-new therapy-led residential recovery programme in North London.

This is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering service that delivers structured, evidence-based support for individuals recovering from substance use and behavioural addictions — all within a trauma-informed, non-medical setting.

We are now looking for a Senior Addiction Treatment Therapist to take a key leadership role within the clinical team, helping to shape and guide this flagship residential pathway.

The Role at a Glance:

As Senior Therapist, you’ll support the Therapy Lead in delivering an effective and compassionate recovery programme. You’ll manage your own caseload, lead on complex therapeutic interventions, supervise junior therapists, and contribute to the wider development of the service.

This role is ideal for an experienced and accredited therapist looking to step into clinical leadership in a forward-thinking, inclusive recovery setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based 1:1 and group therapy

  • Provide clinical supervision to junior therapists (1–2 per month)

  • Lead and contribute to clinical case reviews and MDT planning

  • Guide less experienced team members and support complex client work

  • Take ownership of a key service area and contribute to operational development

  • Ensure high standards of documentation and clinical governance

  • Uphold best practice standards and national guidelines

  • Represent the therapy team in internal and external communications

  • Champion a trauma-informed, client-led recovery ethos

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Criteria:

  • Accreditation with BACP or BABCP

  • Substantial experience in addiction and recovery services

  • Skilled in both group facilitation and complex case management

  • Able to supervise, mentor, and support other therapists

  • Strong MDT collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to inclusive, evidence-based therapeutic care

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a senior or team lead role

  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and harm-reduction models

  • Experience using outcome measures and contributing to service audits

Why Join?

  • Be part of a flagship service redefining addiction support in the UK
  • Deliver care in a person-centred, therapeutic setting
  • Supportive CPD structure with career progression opportunities
  • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • Extra birthday day off
  • Free parking and fully funded DBS
  • Wellbeing benefits platform
