Hourly Rate: £12.30 per hour
Location: Holmewood
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent / 12-hour shifts (8am – 8pm)
Contract: 36 hours per week

We are excited to be partnering with a well-established and reputable care home provider with several services across the Northeast. They are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their team on

a permanent, full-time basis at their small-sized residential care home in Holmewood.

Job Description:

As a Senior Care Assistant you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to elderly residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. You will lead by example, supervising and supporting a team of Care Assistants while working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, meal support, and medication management.
• Lead, train, and mentor Care Assistants to ensure care standards are met.
• Monitor and report on residents' health and well-being, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
• Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
• Support families and visitors, ensuring effective communication and a positive experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a care assistant role, in a senior position within an elderly care home.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving residents’ quality of life.
