Overview:
Compass Associates is partnering with a respected charitable provider to recruit a Senior Clinical Psychologist for a specialist neurological rehabilitation service in Llanelli. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to lead neurological rehabilitation efforts, conducting neuropsychological assessments and providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals with acquired brain injuries. You will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team that drives the development and delivery of high-quality care within the neurological rehabilitation setting.
As the Senior Clinical Psychologist, your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, creating SMART goals, and leading the development of neurological rehabilitation care plans. You will also provide expert psychological guidance to colleagues, families, and carers, ensuring effective delivery of the neurological rehabilitation model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth psychological and neuropsychological assessments for individuals with acquired brain injury, contributing to neurological rehabilitation planning.
- Lead the creation of neurobehavioural formulations, incorporating neurological rehabilitation goals and objectives in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide expert neuropsychological input into neurological rehabilitation interventions, supporting the planning and delivery of evidence-based therapies.
- Develop and implement individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions that support neurological rehabilitation goals.
- Provide psychological perspectives on risk assessments within neurological rehabilitation to ensure appropriate strategies are in place.
- Mentor staff, promoting best practices and a psychologically informed approach in neurological rehabilitation.
- Engage with family members and carers to provide psychological guidance and support, particularly in navigating the neurological rehabilitation process.
- Take full responsibility for managing your caseload and making autonomous decisions regarding the neurological rehabilitation of service users.
Essential Requirements:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in clinical psychology, ideally in a neurological rehabilitation setting.
- Experience within a multi-disciplinary team, providing psychological expertise for neurological rehabilitation.
- A strong understanding of acquired brain injury and its implications on cognition, behaviour, and neurological rehabilitation.
- Expertise in neuropsychological assessment and the ability to implement therapeutic interventions to support neurological rehabilitation.
- Experience in conducting psychological risk assessments, contributing to neurological rehabilitation and ensuring safety.

- Salary Range: £53,755 - £60,504 per annum (Dependent on Experience).
