Senior Healthcare Assistant | Residential Home | Holmewood
Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour
Location: Holmewood
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent / 36 hours a week (33 hours paid)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using electronic systems to update and maintain individual care plans

  • Supporting routine audits to help ensure quality and compliance

  • Assisting with the safe ordering, storage, and administration of medication

  • Supervising and guiding care staff throughout daily shifts

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred care and leading by example

  • Assisting with staff rotas and helping to maintain adequate cover

  • Reporting and responding appropriately to incidents or safeguarding concerns

  • Building positive relationships with residents' families and visiting professionals

  • Supporting the senior team with preparations for inspections and audits

  • Promoting a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all residents and staff

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience within an elderly care home setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (minimum) / NVQ Level 3 (preferred)
  • Healthcare Assistant or higher experience, with experience in elderly care home setting.
  • A compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of elderly residents.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a passion for providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends with occasional nights.
