Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist – Neurological Rehabilitation

Salary: £46,148 - £47,073 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Overview:

 

Compass Associates is proud to be supporting a leading charitable provider in their search for a Senior Occupational Therapist based in Hitchin. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team in a beautiful and historic setting, offering slow-stream neurological rehabilitation to individuals with neurological conditions.

 

As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will lead and mentor a small team, design and deliver creative therapy plans, and have the opportunity to develop innovative therapeutic programmes. You will work with people with varying neurological conditions, providing them with the necessary tools to regain independence and improve their quality of life within a neurological rehabilitation setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of person-centred treatment and neurological rehabilitation plans.
  • Mentor and manage a small team of therapy assistants and activity coordinators in a neurological rehabilitation environment.
  • Work with individuals living with a variety of neurological conditions to assess and enhance function within a neurological rehabilitation framework.
  • Develop and lead therapeutic group programmes tailored to diverse patient needs in neurological rehabilitation.
  • Gain experience in the provision of specialised equipment and seating solutions for neurological rehabilitation.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and participate in regular supervision and peer support networks.
  • Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team that drives high-quality care and neurological rehabilitation outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within neurological rehabilitation.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and effectively manage a team in a neurological rehabilitation setting.
  • Experience in a person-centred, creative approach to therapy, specifically within neurological rehabilitation.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills, with the ability to foster collaborative working relationships within neurological rehabilitation.

Salary & Benefits:
