Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist - Neurorehabilitation

Salary: £37,862.30 to £42,905.39 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Qualifications: HCPC Registered Physiotherapist

 

I am currently working with a leading charity in the field of neurorehabilitation and brain injury recovery, who are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join their specialist neurological centre in Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate physiotherapist to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions.

 

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in assessing, implementing, and evaluating person-centred rehabilitation programmes for individuals with neurological conditions such as brain injuries, Parkinson's disease, Huntington’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. You will be a senior clinical leader within the multidisciplinary team, providing clinical expertise, training, and mentoring to junior staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailored care for service users.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to identify service users' needs and create individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.
  • Lead and implement physiotherapy interventions that optimise physical function and promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate prescription, provision, and maintenance of equipment to enhance the service user experience.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior physiotherapists, offering guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with professional and organisational standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Lead localised training for staff to ensure that physiotherapy interventions are integrated effectively into the care model.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and promoting high clinical standards at all times.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in neurorehabilitation or a similar clinical setting, with the ability to apply complex clinical reasoning to physiotherapy assessments and interventions.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with neurological conditions.
