Job Title: Senior Nurse – Full Primary Care Training

Location: Prison based in Greater London

Salary: £52,500 + additional benefits

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients within the prison population.
  • Provide assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of primary care needs.
  • Manage and administer medications in line with legal and clinical guidelines.
  • Support patients with long-term conditions and promote health education to reduce health inequalities.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally in acute, primary care or community nursing.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and decision-making abilities, with the resilience to work in a challenging environment. Confidence in one’s ability and decision-making is essential.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in secure environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • British citizenship is essential for this role.
  • You must be able to drive.
