Overview:
Compass Associates are delighted to be working with a leading independent healthcare provider to recruit a Senior or Principal Paediatric Psychologist / Neuropsychologist for a key role within a renowned specialist service in Central London.
The position sits within a multidisciplinary paediatric setting that supports complex inpatient cases, including children requiring neurological rehabilitation and intensive care. The successful candidate will also have the exciting opportunity to design and lead a new outpatient psychology service for children with neurodevelopmental and acquired neurological conditions.
You’ll be working alongside a highly skilled team of medical and allied health professionals in an environment focused on excellence in clinical outcomes, compassionate care, and family-centred approaches. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their leadership skills while delivering expert care in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide neuropsychological and psychological assessments and therapy for paediatric patients
Offer clinical support and psychoeducation to families during complex treatment journeys
Lead on developing and implementing an outpatient psychology service
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues across therapy, medical, and nursing teams
Contribute to team training, supervision, and quality improvement projects
Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical or Neuropsychology)
At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within paediatrics or neuropsychology
Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention
Experience working with children and families facing long-term medical or neurological challenges
Team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills
Desirable:
Post-doctoral level qualification in Neuropsychology
Private sector or international healthcare experience
Experience in service development or clinical leadership
Training in systemic or family-based interventions
