Senior Psychologist – Prison Mental Health Team – Part Time
Hours: Part time, working 22.5hrs/week

Salary: £47,000 - £59,000 pro rata

Compass Associates is proud to be working with the UK’s leading healthcare provider within secure environments, to recruit a Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist. This is a part time, permanent role where you’d work 2.5 days per week.
You’d be based at a category B prison in Lancashire where you’d be working with adult males who may have complex needs, high risk behaviours, addiction, learning disabilities, mental health conditions or backgrounds of trauma. In addition to carrying out psychological assessments and delivering 1:1 and group interventions, you will also deliver teaching to health and prison staff, use a trauma-informed approach and be involved in audits.
You would work closely with the prison’s GPs, Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialist Nurses, Pharmacists and ANPs, as well as Prison Officers and Support staff. There is also an opportunity to deliver training to healthcare professionals and prison staff, as well as be involved in audits, research and service development.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist who has experience working within secure, forensic or prison environments as you’d hold a small but complex caseload.

Formal panel interview with the National Psychology Lead and Head of Healthcare, followed by a site visit.
