Senior Psychotherapist – Looked After Children

Location: Hybrid role with travel around Cumbria

Salary: £40,000 - £54,000 DOE

Remit

Compass Associates is proud to be exclusively partnering with a specialist provider of children’s residential services to recruit a Senior Psychotherapist across their Cumbrian services.

You will be joining a well-established organisation that delivers high-quality therapeutic and residential care to vulnerable children and young people with complex needs. These include backgrounds of trauma, exploitation, attachment difficulties, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Your role will involve holding a small caseload with whom you’d carry out assessments, deliver trauma-informed therapeutic interventions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes the Clinical Director, Psychotherapists, Art Therapists and Wellbeing Practitioners. In addition to working within the clinical team, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in the education, care and activities teams.

As a Senior Psychotherapist, you will deliver specialist internal training sessions, contribute to service development and deliver clinical supervision to junior Psychotherapists.

Location/Travel

This is a hybrid role where you will divide your time between working from home, visiting the residential homes and attending weekly clinical team meetings at Head Office. Homes are located across Cumbria in areas including Kendal, Penrith, Kirkby Stephen, Kirkby Lonsdale and Carlisle.
