Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology Ward

Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with a leading cancer centre, located in Central London, who are currently in search for a Senior Staff Nurse to join their Cancer Nursing Team.

 

Rated “Outstanding” by the CQC, our client has cutting-edge facilities, offering a range of advanced treatments in their state-of-the-art theatres, chemotherapy and radiotherapy units, oncology and surgical wards, and dedicated intensive care unit. As a Centre of Excellence, they are constantly pushing the boundaries of clinical innovation, from groundbreaking robotic surgery, to their JACIE-accredited stem cell transplantation unit.

                                

The Role                                                                       

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you’ll work alongside a highly skilled and compassionate nursing team, delivering exceptional care across a variety of specialties. You will take the lead in assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating individualised care plans for our patients, ensuring their medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. You’ll be an advocate for patients, providing clear communication and support to them and their families at every step of their journey. This is more than just a nursing role; it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference to both the unit and the lives of those you care for.

             

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked a mixture of long days, nights and weekends.

 

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature is key in this role, in order to aid and support the treatment and recovery of patients. Role Requirements                                                                      

- RGN qualification               

- NMC Registration               

- Venepuncture and Cannulation              

- Previous experience within cancer care              

- Chemotherapy trained              

- SACT passport               

- Previous experience working at a senior capacity will be advantageous         

- Passion for high quality care              

- Kind and compassionate nature                

- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
