Service Manager – Domiciliary & Live-in Home Care

Location: Perth, Scotland
Salary: £40,000 per year + bonus (up to £45,000)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

About the Role

We are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Service Manager to lead and grow an established domiciliary and live-in home care service based in Perth, Scotland. This is a Care Inspectorate-registered role responsible for overseeing care delivery, managing a local care team, and driving service improvements. The role is perfect for someone with strong leadership experience in the care sector, ideally with a background in live-in care services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold the care registration and ensure the service remains compliant with Care Inspectorate standards

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy home care service

  • Manage and support a local team of care professionals, including team leaders

  • Focus on service development, including a strategic shift toward expanding live-in care packages

  • Conduct risk assessments and care consultations with new private clients

  • Maintain high levels of care quality, safeguarding, and client satisfaction

  • Collaborate with a wider management structure, including centralised scheduling, recruitment, and training teams

  • Build and maintain local referral relationships with community partners, charities, and private contacts

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Service Manager, or Care Manager in home care

  • Strong knowledge of care compliance and the Care Inspectorate framework

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop care teams

  • Commercial awareness and confidence to grow and transform a care service

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Desirable: Experience in live-in care and familiarity with systems like Access Care Planning, People Planner, or similar

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday

  • On-call support may be required on a rota basis

  • In-person | Office based in Perth, covering the Perthshire region
