Specialist Speech & Language Therapist – Neuro Rehab Service
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £46,000 + £53,000 DOE
*Must be dysphagia trained*
Remit
Compass Associates is working with a well-established charity, to recruit a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to be based at their inpatient neurorehabilitation service in Birmingham.
You will be based at the 18 bedded rehabilitation service which provides assessment, support and therapeutic interventions for adults with physical impairments, communication difficulties, cognitive difficulties and challenging behaviours due to backgrounds of acquired brain injuries.
The service also offers an internal pathway where service users can transition to one the independent, self-contained flats, when at an appropriate and safe point in their rehabilitation. There are two rehabilitation kitchens, spacious communal areas, fully equipped physiotherapy room and accessible gardens, which provide excellent facilities for service users on site.
As a Senior Specialist SALT, you will manage your own caseload and work with the wider MDT which includes Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers and Specialist Nurses.
