This is an opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary team within a specialist CAMHS inpatient service, supporting young people aged 12–18 with complex mental health needs. You’ll be part of a service that values professional development, invests in its staff, and encourages nurses to build specialist skills while making a meaningful difference to young people’s lives.

 

This role is suitable for RMN, RNLD, RGN, or Paediatric Nurses who have completed their Preceptorship and are looking to develop their career within a supportive and values-led environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

As a qualified Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a small, specialist CAMHS setting. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care to young people
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes
  • Supporting, mentoring, and guiding colleagues to foster strong teamwork
  • Observing, recording, and reporting changes in young people’s presentation
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records
  • Promoting a therapeutic, supportive, and recovery-focused environment

 

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • A relevant Nursing qualification (RMN, RNLD, RGN, or Paediatric Nurse)
  • Active NMC registration
  • Completion of Preceptorship (evidence required)
  • Strong communication and team-working skills
  • A flexible, proactive, and self-motivated approach
  • A compassionate, caring, and positive attitude
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
  • An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities when working with young people
